Isla Blanca is a shallow-water flats and backcountry fishery located just north of Cancun and Playa Mujeres. Our guided fly fishing and light tackle trips target permit, tarpon, snook and bonefish throughout its lagoons, mangrove shorelines and remote flats.Trips are guided by Enrique and Bernardo Trinidad, local guides with years of experience fishing the waters of Isla Blanca. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome, from first-time fly anglers to experienced saltwater fishermen.
Choose from a 4-hour half-day ($350), 6-hour trip ($425), or 8-hour full-day ($500). The 4-hour trip focuses on fishing areas closer to the dock, while the longer trips allow more time to reach the main flats and deeper backcountry areas.
Fishing gear is included, with fly fishing gear and light tackle available depending on your experience, target species and conditions.

Incredible Isla Blanca Fly Fishing with Enrique
My wife and I first fished with Enrique in 2012. We had so many shots and didn’t have the skill set. Enrique was patient with us. We trout set and lined many times. I have fished with him about 5 times over the years 2012-2018. I will not forget when he says El Perfecto or El Grande. I have now fished in Cancun, Cozumel, San Felipe, Rio Largartos, and Mahahual, Xclat. I had the most fun with Enrique fishing in Isla Blanca. He is a great teacher and knows the area better than anyone else. I remember when he took us to the very horn of Quintana Roo, next land was Cuba. There was boats in the distance that were from Holbox. I can’t wait till I hear him say strip strip strip set, El Perfecto. I have also fished with American Captains. Enrique is one of the best.
